Our customers bring in their ideas, drawings, pictures. Together we choose the wood – ranging from African Vermillion to black walnut, cherry, mahogany, bird's-eye maple – the leg style, shape, size, and we create a table, customized to your specifications. These tables are made in solid wood in our workshop, on the same site as our showroom. Each table is unique in the world. One of a kind. Cottage Tables are built in the Old World tradition of mortice and tenon and each is table is entered in our register to authenticate it's provenance. The material is the key. It speaks for itself. We add basic geometry, basic methods of joinery. We use traditional methods – because they are really practical – so that the table is going to last. We take a classical approach. We do not copy traditional forms, but copy the essence of those forms. Cottage Tables are contemporary interpretations of classic styles.
